Anne Keith was appointed to the BPE by Governor Steve Bullock in 2017. She currently (2017) teaches 7th grade math and social studies at Chief Joseph Middle School in Bozeman. In her 24 years in education, she's taught almost every subject in grades K through 8. In addition, she's held various roles including: Title 1 math teacher, multi-age teacher in a rural school, K-5 principal, K-5 instructional coach, and middle school teacher.
Anne is a Nationally Board Certified teacher in Early Adolescent Mathematics. She won the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math & Science Teaching, and proudly represented all Montana teachers when she served as the 2010 Montana Teacher of the Year. She has served on a wide variety of state and national committees. Her most recent focus has been promoting and developing teacher leadership.
Anne and her husband Kurt are Montana natives and proud products of the Helena Public School System. They raised their two daughters (now in their 20s) in Bozeman while they attended Bozeman Public Schools. In her spare time, Anne loves to spend time with her family, travel, read, golf, run, swim, and ski.
